slough, made famous by Ricky Gervais and “the office”. It’s not as bad as they made out and there are some lovely little villages around and about. My everlasting memory of Slough are the visits i used to make to the mars sites.

Me and my mate worked out that if you go to the wrong gate first you get given a bag of chocolate and then get sent to the right gate. When at the right gate you complain about how tight they are at the other gate and get given another bag of chocolate.

The levels some people will stoop to eh?

Had lunch which consisted of a jacket potato with a 3 bean chili, along with a pint of beer. We went to Goblets wine bar in Southampton. Very reasonably priced very good food. On the way back I waivered. I was going to buy a cake but remembered my promise from earlier. Then I was thinking about what loopholes I had left in and decided I could go and buy biscuits. I got to the office door and was going to walk on by to the shop, i waivered, i was tempted but I didn’t. Hurrah.

Then I opened the birthday presents I had got from my sister in law and found some chocolates. I confess, I did eat some, but not many. Total damage for lunch was 900 calories. I have 1500 saved for this evening.
