10 mile race this morning…

… it was bloody tough, mainly due to the heat. I was going well and on target to beat my goal of 1:40 then at 8 miles I stopped. I didn’t want to stop but i just ran out of energy. I did manage to pick it up again and eventually finished in 1:43. A little disappointed but i shouldn’t be. There ain’t that many 48 years old that could do that distance.

I treated myself to a couple of beers while watching the go kart grand prix in Ringwood.

The boys also ran, they are little rockets them three.

I’ve just finished setting up the boy’s blogs. All they have to do now is add content. They seem quite excited about it. The home page still needs some work but their individual sites look OK

Saved by the bell

The boys were literally saved by the bell last night. For some reason Scoot started a tickle fight which ended up with all 4 of us bundled on the floor.

Normally these fights end in tears, either because I’ve tickled too hard or somebody’s banged their head.

Just before we got to that stage last night (and I could feel it approaching) the phone rang and I stopped to answer it. That was the end of the fight and no tears.

Boy’s fun run

Scott and Toby ran the fun run in Southbourne today. They seemed to really enjoy the race and did very well too. I took a picture of them with their medals and they insisted on wearing the medal from the previous race they ran too.
