It’s my birthday today
Here I am, 47 years of age and feeling very fat and very unfit. If I want to leave for another 50 years (at least) I need to make changes to my lifestyle.
I am 5′ 10″ tall and weigh 15st 7 lbs (217 lbs to our American cousins) This is the most I have ever weighed in my life.
I also went for a cycle ride today. I rode for slightly more than 18 miles, most of it off road. Now I’m not going to beat myself up about that. There would be a large part of the adult population that couldn’t do that, however I found it hard and it set my pulse racing far more than it used to.
So this is my public (well I call it public but who else would be interested in reading it anyway) declaration that I am going to lose weight and I am going to get fit enough to at least run a marathon before I’m 50 but hopefully to complete a full Triathlon.
